The Producer’s Craft, Kim Jackson will teach at The New School

New York, January 2nd, 2012. Kim Jackson (Streetwise Pictures) is honored to announce she has been asked to teach a course at one of New York City's most prestigious and revolutionary universities, The New School. The course is entitled, "The Producer's Craft", and will begin in the Spring of 2012. In keeping with the goal of The New School to prepare students for work in the real world, the course will focus on the producer's crucial role as leader and a source of inspiration during all facets of a projects development, production and post-production. Kim is very excited to work with the New School as their unwavering dedication to affecting change within a positive and proactive framework is at the core of her personal work ethic and the foundation of her success. Well-known guest lecturers from the film industry will be invited to address the class on specific topics such as marketing, distribution, production and funding. Kim Jackson selected for jury member of 2011 NYU First Run Film Festival

Kim Jackson has been invited for a second year to serve as a juror for 2011 NYU's First Run Film Festival, Undergraduate, Wasserman Awards. "I'm honored to have been invited, I have produced several NYU graduate films and believe NYU has some of the most talented filmmakers in NYC." says Ms. Jackson.
